The rules for using CEDAR BUY, its accounts and Cedar AI. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them.

The service

CEDAR BUY helps you research products: buying guides, comparison tools, Help Me Choose and Cedar AI, built on product information from Amazon. We do not sell products ourselves. Purchases happen on Amazon, under Amazon's terms.

Accounts

Give accurate information when you sign up, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can update or delete your account at any time from your account page.

Cedar AI

Cedar AI is an AI assistant. Its answers are generated automatically, can be incomplete or wrong, and are information, not professional advice. Labels such as "Best overall" are Cedar AI's view for the needs you described — not Amazon ratings, and not an endorsement by Amazon or the manufacturer. Check anything important — compatibility, safety, price, availability — on the product's Amazon page or with the manufacturer before you buy.

Prices and availability are shown as of the time they were retrieved; the price and availability on Amazon at the time of purchase apply. Plans and usage limits

Cedar AI use is limited by plan and counted in completed requests: one request is one message Cedar AI answers successfully. Failed answers, retries of the same message, and answers that could not reach Amazon are not counted. Product search from the requirement builder, Compare and Save are not limited by plan. A fair-use limit protects the service from automated or abusive use. Limits reset each calendar month. The current plans are:

  • Free — 5 Cedar AI requests per month, free
  • Cedar Pro — 150 Cedar AI requests per month, US$14.99 per month

Prices shown at checkout, including any tax Paddle adds for your location, are the prices that apply.

Billing, cancellation and refunds

Paid plans renew every month until cancelled. They are sold and billed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, which also handles tax and payment methods; Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.

You can cancel from the Subscription section of your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refund requests are handled through Paddle under its buyer terms and any rights you have under the law where you live. If you need help with a charge, contact us and we will help you reach the right place.

Content you submit

You keep ownership of the feedback, comments and messages you send. By submitting feedback or comments for publication, you allow us to show them on this site. Feedback is reviewed before it is published, and we may decline or remove content that breaks these terms, is misleading, offensive or unlawful, or includes someone else's personal information. Do not include passwords or payment details in anything you send us.

Acceptable use

  • Do not break the law or other people's rights using the site.
  • Do not try to get around usage limits, overload the site, or access accounts or data that are not yours.
  • Do not scrape or copy product information from the site in bulk, or use it to build or train AI models.
  • Do not use Cedar AI to produce harmful, abusive or deceptive content.

Ownership and trademarks

The CEDAR BUY name, logo, articles and site design belong to CEDAR BUY. Product information, images and prices come from Amazon and belong to Amazon or its licensors. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates; other product and company names are the trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify their products.

Disclaimers and liability

The site and Cedar AI are provided as they are. We work to keep them accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee that product information, prices, availability or AI answers are always complete, current or error-free, or that the site will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make or purchases you complete based on the site; nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Ending your use

You can stop using the site and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the site or other people at risk.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms apply.
